Calpe

Calpe is a city that will take your breath away. Wake up and start a new day. Forget the time. Dive into the Mediterranean, the blue water. Enjoy the sun and the warm sand under your feet.

Calpe is a nature lover's paradise, known for its beautiful, secluded beaches and untouched nature. The impressive rock Ifach off the coast has become not only for Calpe the landmark, but one for the entire Costa Blanca.

Among the many highlights include the salt lakes and the flamingos.

With small, rocky coves and wide, urban, fine sandy beaches, Calpe has a wide selection of attractive coastal strips where clear water is the norm. Among the beautiful, peaceful bays is Les Bassetes in the north - a natural reserve that offers perfect conditions for sailing, and an interesting seabed covered with underwater plants perfect for diving. The local diving club and the sailing school ensure safe conditions.

Calpe has five ports that offer a variety of recreational activities. The most popular harbor is right at the foot of the Ifach Rock.

The former fishing village offers a colorful historical center, various museums and very well-preserved neighborhoods. A perfect mix between tradition and modernity.

Calpe is a friendly and modern tourist destination. A city that, despite its tourism, still proudly maintains and preserves its traditions.

Old Town of Calpe

It is a romantic old town with a beautiful harbor and typical Spanish restaurants and bars that invite you to linger.

For several years every summer, except Mondays, the arts and crafts fair takes place in the old town of Calpe. From June to September, the Calle José Antonio and the Plaza de España will be a vibrant scene in the evening, in which not only artists and craftsmen set up their stands, but also workshops and live entertainment, as well as an art exhibition.

The Beaches

Calpe has 14 different beaches that are very different but all have their own charm. The most popular beaches are: Arenal-Bol, La Fossa, La Calalga and Cantal Roig.

In the north of Calpe are hidden rocky coves, where you can swim in the clean water protected from the waves of the sea.

On both sides of the Rock Ifach are the city beaches with fine golden sand.

For cleanliness and environmental friendliness, as well as for their beauty and service quality, most of the beaches have been awarded the blue flag of the EEC.

The beaches of La Fossa and El Arenal offer a vivid contrast with a full range of services, a well-kept promenade and summer rental facilities for windsurfing, pedal boating and jet ski equipment. Other activities include the yacht club's sailing school, the Puerto Blanco diving center and a golf club, all topped by the 332 meter high cliff - the Peñón de Ifach nature reserve, which is a challenge for all climbing enthusiasts.

Ifach

The best view of the area is from the top of the Rock Ifach. Spectacular hiking trails lead through the National Park of Rock Ifach up to the top. Another must for all visitors to watch the sunset from the Promenade Prince of Asturias.
